IPU CET 2017

   Indraprastha University Common Entrance Test (IPU CET) is a university-level examination systematized by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. This exam is specified for admission in numerous UG and PG courses in the field of engineering, medical, management, law, computer applications, etc. accessible by the Indraprastha University.

Eligibility criteria:

General guidelines for admissibility:

  • All the applicants must pass class 10+2 from recognized Board.
  • He/she must be 21 years old on the date of exam.
  • He/she must secure 55% in total and must pass all subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics separately.
  • Candidate must have passed in English as a core or functional subject.

B.Tech. Programs (for Diploma Holders)

Three years diploma in engineering/ technology disciplines from any renowned branch of AICTE with obtaining minimum 60% marks.

 

B.Tech. Programs (for B.Sc. Graduates)

B.Sc passed with mathematics subject from any standard university with acquiring minimum 60% marks

 

B.Tech. (Bio-Technology)

12th or equal exam with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology and English subjects with securing least 55% marks.

 

B.Tech. CET

10+2 or same exam with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and English subjects with securing least 55% marks.

 

M.Tech. CET (for Computer Science and Electronics Group)

B.Tech. / B.E., Grad. IETE/AMIE (ECE/CSE/IT/EE), M.Sc, with scoring minimum 60% total marks.

M.Tech. (Biotechnology) (Regular)

B.E./B.Tech (Biotechnology / Chemical Technology/ Biochemical Engineering), MS / M.Sc. (Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Microbiology / Biosciences / Genetics / Life-Sciences) with securing 60% in total.

 

MBA

Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with a least of 50% marks/ Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Technology or any other subject with   the minimum of 50% marks. Passed the Final Examination of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India or the Institute of Company Secretaries of India.

 

MCA

Must have cleared 12th with Mathematics and English as main subjects.

Bachelor’s Degree of an acknowledged University in any discipline with at least 50% marks. BCA/BIT/BIS of a recognized University of at least three years’ time with at least 50% marks. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology with securing 50% marks.

 

BCA

12th or equivalent exam with English and Mathematics or Computer Science / Informatics Practice / Computer Applications / Multimedia &   Web Technology/ Data Management Application / Web Application with minimum 50% marks.

Three years diploma in Engineering with scoring minimum 50% marks from a technical college accepted by AICTE.

 

MBBS

Must have passed in the subject of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English with minimum 50% marks for general applicants and 40% marks for OBC/SC/ST.

Aspirants should not be less than 17 years as or on 31st December 2017

 

IPU CET 2017 Important Dates (tentative):

  • Application form availability from – Last week of January 2017
  • Latest date of application form submission – Last week of March 2017
  • Admit cards issued  from– First week of April
  • CETs exam date – Third week of April 2017 to First week of May 2017
  • Result declaration – After one month from the exam

IPU CET 2017 Application form:

The application form will be available on the official website of IP University. The registration cost is 1000/- which is payable through net banking, credit card or debit card. Forms will be available from last week of January. The candidates must fill up all the necessary details carefully as for correcting the form, an extra cost of 500/- is paid by the applicant. IPU CET 2017 Exam Pattern:

The CET exam will be conducted in offline mode. The question paper will be in OMR pattern. One-fourth negative marking is applied to every wrong answer or for more than one answer to each question. It will have 150 objective type questions and each question will carry 4 marks each. Time allotted to finish the exam is 2 hours 30 minutes.

IPU CET 2017 Exam centers:

Exams will be conducted in their centers situated in Bangalore, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Delhi, Jaipur, Jalandhar, Kolkata, and Lucknow.
